Bienvenidos a la clase de español. My name is Christine Hibbler and I am excited to be teaching Spanish at the Middle School. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and the opportunity that I have to teach each of my students and to work with each parent to together support each student in his/her success in learning.
The 2016-2017 school year marks my tenth year of teaching. I have now taught at the Middle School for nine years and I taught Kindergarten at Weston for one year. I graduated from Lapeer East High School having studied five years of Spanish beginning in the eighth grade. I then completed my undergraduate studies at Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a major in Social Studies and a minor in Spanish. I have also completed my Masters Degree in Linguistics with an Endorsement in English Language Learners at Oakland University. My hobbies include spending time with my husband and our two little boys, travel, spending time outside, interior design, spin class, and encouraging people.
This is the fifth year that I have taught Spanish I, which is a class that students can receive a high school credit pending that they pass the class. Please see the letter explaining how the high school credit works under UPDATES FOR PARENTS. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of communication between parents and the teacher. Please feel free to contact me at email@example.com or by phone at extension 9292 if you have any questions or concerns. I would be happy to answer any of your questions so please do not hesitate to ask.
