Bienvenidos a la clase de español. My name is Christine Hibbler and I am excited to be teaching Spanish at the Middle School. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and the opportunity that I have to teach each of my students and to work with each parent to together support each student in his/her success in learning.
The 2017-2018 school year marks the beginning of my twelfth year of teaching. I graduated from Lapeer East High School having studied five years of Spanish beginning in the eighth grade. I then completed my undergraduate studies at Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a major in Social Studies and a minor in Spanish. I have also completed my Masters Degree in Linguistics with an Endorsement in English Language Learners at Oakland University.
This is the sixth year that I have taught Spanish I, which is a class that students can receive a high school credit pending that they pass the class. Please see the letter explaining how the high school credit works under UPDATES FOR PARENTS. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of communication between parents and the teacher. Please feel free to contact me at email@example.com or by phone at extension 9292 if you have any questions or concerns. I would be happy to answer any of your questions so please do not hesitate to ask.
